We are pleased to announce the new Tournament Calendar for the 2008/2009 season at Tower Links Golf Club. Details of the Tournaments can be found on the website in the Events Calendar section or on the notice board outside the golf shop.
A printable version of this year’s calendar can also be downloaded from the 1st September through the website by clicking on the “Tournament Calendar” logo to the right of the homepage.

Tournament sign up

For the Wednesday Night Socials registration will open at the presentation from the social held the previous week. After that the start sheet will be available at the reservations desk where players can add their names. The final draw will be available at 10am on the morning of the event.

For the tournaments that will be played on Saturdays throughout the season the deadline for entries is the Tuesday prior to the event. A place in the competition for players signing up after the deadline can not be guaranteed. The draw for each Saturday tournament will be available at 10am on the Thursday prior to the event.

We ask all players to contact the reservations desk to reconfirm their participation and to be informed of their tee time or starting hole once the final draw for an event has been made.

Wednesday Socials

This seasons Wednesday Night Socials will be either tee times between 4pm – 6.10pm, or 6pm shotgun starts. All presentations will be made in the Golden Ferret around 8.30pm on the day of the tournament which will include the Weekly Accumulator draw.

Cadillac Monthly Medals

This seasons Cadillac Monthly Medals will alternate between 8am shotgun starts and tee times from 7.30am. Septembers Medal will be an 8am shotgun. For all shotgun starts the prize presentation will follow in the Golden Ferret on the day of the tournament after the players have finished. No prize presentation will take place on the day of the tournaments which have tee times. The prize giving will be made at the following Monthly Medal which is a shotgun.

Golfer of the Year

The Golfer of the Year points table will continue as in previous years. This season we have 32 events where points will be awarded. The calendar of events shows the tournaments where points are available.
The tables will be updated after each tournament and be available through the website and printed on the notice board.

Eclectic

The Eclectic Gross and Nett tables will also continue as in previous years. Your Eclectic score is calculated from your best score on each individual hole from all the Cadillac Monthly Medals from September 2008 through to May 2009. The gross table will be calculated without handicaps while the nett table will subtract ¾ of each golfer’s current handicap.
The tables will be updated after each Cadillac Monthly Medal and be available through the website and printed on the notice board.

Tower Links Knockout Competitions

This season we will be running 2 knockout competitions, the singles competition will continue but a new pairs event will be added. The draws for both events will be made at the start of October which will include the deadlines for each round.

Singles Knockout

Players can sign up for this event at the reservations desk, entries will close on the 30th September and the draw will be made on the 1st October. The format will be individual Matchplay, the lowest handicapped player in each match will receive no shots while the higher handicapped player will receive the difference between their handicap and the lowest players. The winner of each match will continue to the next round.

Entry fee – 50 Dhs

Pairs Knockout

Players can sign up for this event at the reservations desk, entries will close on the 30th September and the draw will be made on the 1st October. Both players must sign up as a pair. The format will be Betterball Matchplay, the lowest handicapped player in each match will receive no shots while the other 3 players will receive ¾ of the difference between their handicap and the lowest players. The winner of each match will continue to the next round.

Entry fee – 100 Dhs per team

Please be reminded that only members with a valid Handicap can enter any of our club tournaments.
